The San Francisco 49ers are now acquiring draft picks for next year.
When the 49ers got on the clock at pick 133, they traded out to the Baltimore Ravens. The trade gives the 49ers a fifth-round (No. 154) selection and a 2027 sixth-round pick.
The Ravens went on to select SMU tight end Matthew Hibner.
Assuming the 49ers don’t make another trade—something they have been doing a lot of this year—their next pick will be in the fourth round at 139; their compensatory pick. After 139 will be the pick acquired from the Ravens, 154.
The 49ers started the draft with six picks. Assuming no more trades that move them to 2026, they will have eight prospects coming to Santa Clara. The 49ers have been making a number of trades this year, so speculating more might be on the way that put them into 2027 isn’t too bad of a guess.
The 49ers have made two fourth-round selections: Oklahoma defensive tackle Gracen Halton and Washington offensive tackle Carver Willis.
