Oklahoma Sooners earn 4 All-SEC first team selections, Wells earns Freshman of the Year award.

The Oklahoma Sooners are making a powerful statement in their first SEC season, and the conference took notice. On Friday morning, the SEC announced its all-conference awards, and the Sooners led all teams with the most selections.

Four Oklahoma stars earned All-SEC first-team honors: Gabbie Garcia, Ella Parker, Kai Minor, and Kendall Wells. Adding to the depth, Abby Dayton, Isabela Emerling, and Audrey Lowry were named to the second team. Garcia and Parker also earned spots on the All-SEC defensive team, showcasing the team's all-around excellence.

The biggest headline, however, belongs to Kendall Wells. The freshman phenom was named SEC Freshman of the Year after a historic season that has fans buzzing. Wells has shattered the SEC freshman single-season home run record and set a new Oklahoma program record. She's now on the verge of breaking the NCAA single-season home run record—a mark that has stood for over 30 years. With 36 home runs and 79 RBIs, she's been a force at the plate all season.

Garcia has been equally impressive, following up her 20-home run 2025 campaign with 22 homers and 68 RBIs in 2026. She's hitting .393 and has been a defensive anchor at shortstop, committing just four errors on 128 chances.

Ella Parker is enjoying the best season of her three-year Oklahoma career. She's set new personal bests in home runs (21) and RBIs (66) while patrolling right field with consistency and confidence.

Kai Minor has emerged as the team's primary lead-off hitter and a spark at the top of the lineup. In Thursday night's 10-5 loss to Georgia, she went 3-for-4 with two doubles, a home run, and an RBI. She leads the team with a .446 batting average and is tied with Parker for the team lead in doubles (15), adding nine homers and 41 RBIs.

Emerling has also turned heads with 18 home runs, 58 RBIs, and a .395 batting average, while Dayton has been a steady contributor throughout the season.

For Sooners fans, this is a glimpse of what's to come: a program built on tradition now thriving on a new stage. Whether you're cheering from the stands or repping the crimson and cream at home, it's a great time to be part of Sooner Nation.
