Wolves' problems go far beyond one bad result. The real fear is that the negativity and toxicity around this club will roll straight into next season unless there is a serious reset. At half-time, Wolves' xG was 0.0. For a Premier League side, even one already going down, that is nowhere near good enough.

Wolves' problems run far deeper than a single poor result. The real concern is that the negativity and toxicity surrounding the club could carry into next season unless there's a serious reset.

Picture this: I was enjoying ice cream on the beach before kick-off against Brighton on Saturday. I might as well have stayed there, because too many of these players were still sitting on their deckchairs when the game started. They never looked ready for the fight.

At half-time, Wolves' expected goals (xG) was 0.0. Zero. That's embarrassing. For a Premier League side—even one already heading for relegation—that's simply not good enough. And the bigger picture is even worse: Wolves have now lost to all 19 other Premier League teams this season. That stat alone tells you exactly where this team stands.

Whether relegated or not, these players should be fighting for the badge, showing pride, and giving fans something to hold onto. Instead, far too many of them look like they've mentally checked out. Manager Rob Edwards should be getting far more from this group than he currently is.

The biggest issue here is mentality. This squad has switched off. There are no leaders stepping up when the game turns against them, no rallying cry when things go wrong, and no real sense of fight when it matters most. They go behind, nobody organizes the troops, and then they concede again far too quickly. That's not good enough.

Fans don't expect perfection. They expect effort, honesty, and pride. They want players who understand how privileged they are to wear the shirt and represent this club.

Rob Edwards has stood up for his players plenty of times, but he has to own some of this too. He's praised their attitude and work on the training ground, only for us to see something completely different on match day. That gap is hard to ignore, and it raises serious questions about where this team really is.

This summer needs to be about more than just transfers. It requires a full refresh of attitude and mentality. Wolves don't just need better players—they need a team with a spine. Because right now, this side seems to have lost it completely.
