If Saturday at Celtic Park turns out to be Cammy Devlin's final match in a Hearts jersey, the tenacious midfielder can think of no better way to sign off than by lifting a league title. After five seasons at Tynecastle, the Australian is out of contract this summer, but his focus remains firmly on the prize at hand.

"You speak to the Hearts supporters, and you really get a feel for how big this is," Devlin said. "I've been here long enough now to know what it means to play for Hearts. That's such an important thing when you come over here—to get the feeling of the club. It's super special."

Devlin, who has battled recent injury setbacks, says he's "feeling really good" and is relishing the chance to make history. "If you don't want to play in this game, football's not for you," he added with a grin. "We've got 30-odd boys in that changing room who are busting to be out there. We're in an amazing position. What an opportunity we have. You've just got to relish it."

For the 27-year-old, the stakes couldn't be higher. "When you're a kid growing up, you watch these games on the telly, and to be a part of it—it's just so good, man. There's so much to play for. The carrot at the end of the game is there for everyone to see. We're so desperate to do it."

With one match standing between Hearts and glory, Devlin is embracing the pressure. "I just love going into work every day to see all these boys and to do something special with them. It would mean the absolute world to not only us, but every single person associated with this football club—fans, staff, and all our families."

Whether this is his final chapter in maroon or not, Devlin is determined to make it one for the history books. For the Hearts faithful, that's exactly the kind of fight they've come to expect from their No. 6.
