Kelechi Iheanacho may look cool as a cucumber on the outside, but he admits his heart was racing like never before as he stepped up to take the most pressure-packed penalty of his career. The 29-year-old Nigerian striker kept his composure to slot home a contentious spot-kick deep into added time at Fir Park, securing a dramatic 3-2 victory over Motherwell and keeping Celtic's title hopes alive.

"You don't want to know what my heart was saying at that moment," Iheanacho confessed, his usually calm demeanor giving way to raw honesty. "My heartbeat was really high. I don't know about the fans, but mine was through the roof. Anybody in that position would be scared."

The win was a game-changer for Celtic, who haven't topped the Scottish Premiership table since September. Thanks to Iheanacho's ice-cold finish, Martin O'Neill's side now only needs to beat Hearts on Saturday to clinch the title, rather than requiring a three-goal victory margin. "It's one of the biggest moments in my career," he said. "The keeper was teasing me, trying to put me off, but I didn't change my mind. I just kept my cool and put it in the back of the net. It was big pressure, but I'm so happy we got through it."

Now, with the title race reaching its climax, Iheanacho is expecting a battle royale at Celtic Park. "Hearts have been one of the strongest teams all season," he noted. "They'll come with everything they've got to win the title, so we need to be ready. It's going to take the same fighting spirit that's carried us through the season—working as one, fighting as one. Saturday is like a cup final, and we'll give everything we've got."
