'Mathematically it's not done' – Miller not ready to give up on Europe

Falkirk attacker Calvin Miller vowed his side will give their all to keep their slim hopes of European qualification alive when they face title-chasing Hearts at Tynecastle. The focus will be on the home team, who will clinch the Scottish Premiership title for the first time since 1960 if they beat Falkirk and Celtic lose to Motherwell. Falkirk set out to leapfrog Hibs in the table but a 3-1 home defeat left them five points behind with two games left.

Falkirk attacker Calvin Miller has issued a rallying cry ahead of his team's daunting trip to Tynecastle, insisting the Bairns will fight to the finish to keep their fading European dreams alive—even as the spotlight falls on title-chasing Hearts.

The stakes couldn't be higher for the home side: a win against Falkirk, combined with Celtic losing to Motherwell, would hand Hearts their first Scottish Premiership title since 1960. But while the narrative may center on the Jam Tarts' historic pursuit, Miller and his teammates have their own unfinished business.

Falkirk entered last weekend hoping to leapfrog Hibs into fifth place, a position that could open the door to European qualification. Instead, a painful 3-1 home defeat left them five points adrift with only two games remaining. To make matters worse, Hibs boast a 20-goal advantage in the standings, making the Bairns' path to Europe a mathematical long shot.

Yet Miller refuses to throw in the towel. "Mathematically it's not done yet," he told Falkirk TV. "We just need to go and give a good account of ourselves on Wednesday."

The scenario is simple but steep: Falkirk must win their final two matches—against Hearts and Rangers—while hoping Hibs lose both of theirs, and that Dunfermline lift the Scottish Cup. It's a tall order, but Miller is embracing the challenge.

"I'm sure Tynecastle will be electric considering what they are going for," he added. "We really need to roll the sleeves up and get a big performance from ourselves."

For a team that has defied expectations all season, this final push could define their character—and maybe, just maybe, keep the European dream alive a little longer.
