The Sunderland game and the first half against Leeds United shows how poor this side can be. Players like Amad Diallo, Lisandro Martinez, Mason Mount and Joshua Zirkzee are just not good enough to play well on a regular basis and find the magic needed to win games. Gordon: Totally agree with Alex Turk's comments regarding players surplus to requirements, and on signing sufficient new players for a rigorous campaign next season.

Manchester United fans have spoken: it's time to get ruthless. After a patchy run of form that included a disappointing display against Sunderland and a shaky first half against Leeds United, supporters are demanding serious changes in the summer transfer window.

"The Sunderland game and that first half against Leeds showed just how poor this side can be," says fan Graham. "Players like Amad Diallo, Lisandro Martinez, Mason Mount, and Joshua Zirkzee simply aren't delivering consistently. They lack the magic needed to win games."

Gordon echoes that sentiment, agreeing that several players are now surplus to requirements. "Mount and Zirkzee aren't good enough," he argues. "Michael Carrick needs to pick his best available team to keep momentum going through the end of the season. And why not give young players like Shea Lacey 30 minutes to prove themselves?"

But not everyone is calling for a complete overhaul. Callum believes the club needs smarter, not just bigger, moves. "What we really need is shrewd business that increases quality and squad depth. Look at Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo—players already adapted to the Premier League offer more lasting impact than flashy signings from abroad. Amad and Martinez can still contribute if we replace outgoing players with genuine quality. Fail to do that, and next season could see yet another regression, which has been the story post-Ferguson."

Gerry has a specific shopping list: "In midfield, I'd target Ederson and Joao Gomes. I'd also bring James Garner back from Everton—he's in his final contract year. In defense, I'd sign Michael Keane on a free transfer to provide cover if Matthijs de Ligt and Martinez remain injury-prone. Axel Tuanzabe could also fill that role for free."

As the season winds down, the message from the stands is clear: Manchester United can't afford another summer of half-measures. Whether through aggressive sales, smart Premier League-proven signings, or giving youth a chance, the club needs to act decisively—or risk falling even further behind.
