The club officially confirmed its pricing policy for the 2026/27 campaign earlier today with the cost of general admission season tickets and match by match general tickets renewed at the same rate for the third consecutive season.

The welcome news comes at a time when many families are having to budget carefully due to the cost-of-living issues as well as dealing with other pressures on household finances.

And addressing the media at Friday’s pre-match press conference ahead of Saturday’s FA Cup semi-final against Southampton, the boss spoke of his pleasure at the news and stressed again how football is for the fans.

“Hats off for my chairman and CEO. This business doesn’t work without the fans,” Pep said.

“Imagine playing how it was in COVID time when we didn’t have people in our stadium?

“Of course, the club needs financially to have other sources to [be able to] buy the best players as possible, to continue to pay the players, and of course it’s necessary but when the club think OK they can find it another way [it’s good].

“The situation in the world is difficult so not to increase the season tickets, it means a lot.

“Again, [it shows] how special is this club, how good it is.

“We don’t judge other clubs. They can do what they want.

“Of course we have to think about sponsors, to think about all this stuff, because otherwise it would not be sustainable.

“But fans are the key for how this business can go on.

“Tomorrow, they [our fans] come back [at Wembley] and then we have the last few games that we have at home, and hopefully they can be there too.”

Pep Guardiola’s brilliant Blues are on the hunt for yet more silverware under Wembley’s famous arch.

We return to the national stadium on Saturday 25 April in a 17:15 (UK) kick-off for our FA Cup semi-final with Southampton.

And Members can be there with prices starting from £30 for adults and £20 for U18s and over 65s.

As we’ve seen with other recent Wembley visits, it’s an occasion not to be missed!
