The 6th annual 'Battle at the Beach' Football Classic in Ocean City has a revised schedule for its three-day showcase.

The 6th annual "Battle at the Beach" Football Classic is back with a revamped schedule, bringing three days of high-energy gridiron action to Ocean City's iconic Carey Stadium. This year's showcase, running from August 27th to 29th, promises even more excitement with a fresh lineup that has fans buzzing.

In a significant change, two-time defending state champion Winslow Township has withdrawn from the event. The Eagles were originally set to face Non-Public powerhouse Paramus Catholic in a prime-time clash, but recent coaching changes have reshuffled the deck. Winslow is searching for a new head coach after Bill Belton took the top job at St. Augustine Prep, and they'll also be without all-state quarterback Jalen Parker, who is expected to transfer to Gloucester Catholic.

Stepping up to the challenge is La Salle College High School, the defending 6A state champion from Pennsylvania. They'll now take on Paramus Catholic on Friday, August 28th at 7 p.m., in what promises to be a can't-miss matchup of elite programs. This year's event is being dubbed the "West Jersey Football League vs. Everybody," setting the stage for some serious underdog energy and competitive fire.

All 12 games will be played at the famous Carey Stadium on the campus of Ocean City High School, a venue known for its electric atmosphere and beachside vibe. Opening day on August 27th kicks off with two defending state champions: Cedar Creek and Washington Township will take the field in the first two games, setting a high bar for the weekend.

The finale on Saturday night features Millville taking on New York's Erasmus Hall, currently ranked seventh in the Empire State. It's the perfect capstone to a weekend that blends local pride with national competition—and a great excuse to gear up in your favorite team's apparel.

Whether you're a die-hard fan or just love the game, the "Battle at the Beach" is the place to be this August. Mark your calendars, pack your sunscreen, and get ready for some unforgettable football under the lights.
