The Crestview Cougars faced a tough test in their Firelands Conference clash against St. Paul, falling just short in a high-scoring 12-10 battle on Monday, May 4. Despite the loss, the Cougars showed plenty of fight. Bella Hillman made a strong throw from the infield, while Carlee Crider tracked down a fly ball in center field and Lindsey Bright flashed the leather with a great catch in left. Bria White connected with head coach Josh Cunningham during pregame warmups, setting the tone for a competitive evening. Madison Leidigh also contributed with a solid toss to second base, keeping the Cougars within striking distance throughout the game.
Over in Plymouth, the Big Red celebrated senior night in style with a 6-4 victory over Western Reserve. Lincoln Distl swiped third base, Jarrett Burrer crossed the plate for a key run, and Isaiah Miller took an aggressive lead from third to put pressure on the defense. Weston Kamman delivered a clutch base hit, while Lucas Distl made a clean catch in the field to help secure the win.
