With the first round of the 2026 NFL draft in the books, let's take a look at who the Indianapolis Colts are taking with their first selections in the latest Day 2 NFL mock drafts.
Considering that the Colts were without a first-round selection, things played out quite well, and GM Chris Ballard should have a strong board to work with on day 2. With only two picks and several needs to fill, Ballard must deliver with these upcoming selections.
Let's take a look at who the Colts are picking in these Day 2 mocks.
Takeaways: In Miller's mock, he addresses the Colts' two biggest needs right away. Linebacker needs added competition throughout that depth chart, while the Colts should still be looking to add more pass-rush juice at defensive end.
Takeaways: As Edwards said, landing Parker at pick 47 would be a "great value." He could compete for snaps opposite of Laiatu Latu right away. And while adding OT depth makes sense, I don't think that the Colts have the luxury of doing so on Day 2.
Takeaways: Perhaps the best development for the Colts coming out of Round 1 is that no linebackers were taken. I'm interested to see what Ballard does at safety. He made several additions there in free agency, but unknowns at this position -- outside of Cam Bynum -- linger. Is Ballard content with how this room is shaped or will he add more competition?
Takeaways: Rodriguez is a Day 1 starter at linebacker for the Colts, while Fields would compete with Ashton Dulin and Nick Westbrook-Ikhine for the WR3 snaps.
Pick 56 (TRADE): Dani Dennis-Sutton, DE, Penn State
