The Minnesota Vikings have made another selection in the 2026 NFL Draft, and with this pick, they have, apparently, gotten themselves a replacement for the departed C.J. Ham.

Career Accomplishments: Third-Team All-Big Ten (2025), Lowman Trophy (2025)

With the 159th pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, the Vikings have picked fullback Max Bredeson from the University of Michigan.

The younger brother of Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive lineman Ben Bredeson, Max has shown himself to be an outstanding run blocker during his time with the Wolverines. He is also well above average in pass protection and has shown very good toughness after the catch.

Bredeson will likely be used as more of an H-back type rather than as a classic fullback, but as one of the few teams that still utilizes a fullback in today’s NFL, there’s going to be ample opportunity for him to make contributions early on for the Minnesota offense. He was also a two-time team captain for the Wolverines, which is something that the Vikings have shown they value in the past.

The Vikings will be on the clock right away again at #163, so stay tuned to see what they do next.
