After selecting edge rusher Trey Moore with the 130th pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, the Miami Dolphins had a quick turnaround before coming back on the clock with the 138th pick. They continue to retool the defense in this year’s draft, adding linebacker Kyle Louis from Pittsburgh.

Louis was projected to a second or third round pick. Miami landing him late in the fourth round is a huge value pick. Daniel Jeremiah ranked Louis his 55th prospect, with Miami selecting him 138th. On NFL.com, Lance Zierlein compares Louis to former Dolphins linebacker Jerome Baker, which would be a great addition to the Miami defense.

Miami’s previous selections have included tackle Kadyn Proctor and cornerback Chris Johnson in the first round; linebacker Jacob Rodriguez in the second round wide receiver; Caleb Douglas, tight end Will Kacmarek, and wide receiver Chris Bell in the third round; and edge rusher Trey Moore in the fourth round.

A four-year player at Pittsburgh, Louis finished his career with 201 tackles, 10 sacks, six interceptions with a touchdown, two forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries.

The Dolphins are next on the clock with the 151st pick, the first of three scheduled fifth-round picks.
