The New York Jets added to their secondary on Day 2 of the NFL draft, selecting Indiana cornerback D'Angelo Ponds 50th overall in the second round.

Ponds transferred to Indiana in 2024 from James Madison, and he won the national championship a year later with the Hoosiers before declaring for the draft. Over his three collegiate years, he recorded seven interceptions (two returned for touchdowns), 10.5 tackles for loss, and 33 passes defended.
