We've made it to the third and final day of the 2026 NFL Draft, and the New Orleans Saints own five picks to invest in their roster. They've been surprisingly patient since hiring head coach Kellen Moore -- while longtime general manager Mickey Loomis has a reputation for wheeling and dealing to move up the board, the Saints have not traded during the draft since 2024. They stood pat throughout the 2025 draft and did not trade up from any of their first three picks this year.
Maybe that changes on Saturday. Because the Saints previously dealt their fourth-round pick to the Denver Broncos in exchange for wide receiver Devaughn Vele, there will be 31 picks ahead of their first choice to start the day. Here are the picks the Saints currently own:
With talented prospects available like cornerbacks Jermod McCoy (Tennessee), Keionte Scott (Miami), Keith Abney II (Arizona State), and Malik Muhammad (Texas), this could be an opportunity for the Saints to package some of those picks together and move up to the top of Round 4 rather than wait it out. At the same time, this team has so many needs to address that it might be the better approach to stand by and see who's available later in the frame. Stay tuned.
