The Chargers selected former Mississippi State wide receiver Brenen Thompson with the No. 105 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.

Los Angeles entered the draft needing to inject the position room with a speed and yards-after-catch element. Insert Thompson, who ran the fastest 40 at the NFL Scouting Combine (4.28).

Thompson arrives in Los Angeles following a dominant final collegiate season, in which he led the SEC with 1,054 receiving yards and six touchdowns, averaging a remarkable 18.5 yards per catch.

Thompson gives quarterback Justin Herbert a true deep-ball catalyst for Mike McDaniel’s dynamic offensive scheme.
