The 2026 NBA Draft Combine came to a close in Chicago on Thursday, and Day 2 of scrimmages delivered plenty of highlight-reel moments. With over 70 prospects hitting the court at Wintrust Arena, the final day of 5-on-5 action gave scouts and fans plenty to talk about—especially when it came to a few standout performances that could reshape draft boards.

Florida junior Rueben Chinyelu was the undeniable star of the day, posting 14 points and 15 rebounds in just under 24 minutes. That double-double was the only one recorded by any prospect in this year's combine, and it capped off a week where the 6-foot-9 Nigerian big man also put up 13 points and five boards on Wednesday. Known for his relentless motor in the paint, Chinyelu converted 7-of-13 from the field and added a steal, proving he can dominate the boards and finish through contact. With a May 27 deadline to decide whether to stay in the draft or return to the Gators, his strong showing in Chicago likely made that choice even tougher—and more intriguing for teams looking for a physical presence inside.

Another prospect who turned heads was Aaron Nkrumah, who closed out the week with a well-rounded 15-point, 6-rebound performance. The Ohio standout shot 3-of-6 from deep and showed off his versatility, finishing through contact at the rim and pulling up confidently from beyond the arc. His ability to create in the open court and knock down shots from distance made him one of the more exciting players to watch on the final day.

The combine's scrimmage format split players into four teams, giving several potential first-round picks a chance to shine in a competitive setting. For years, these games have helped prospects boost their draft stock, and this year was no different. Whether it's Chinyelu's raw power and rebounding or Nkrumah's smooth scoring touch, the talent on display in Chicago suggests the 2026 draft class has plenty of depth and versatility to offer.
