The EPIC Marathon and Running Festival returns May 17 for the second year. Here's what to know about packet pickup, parking, and the race schedule.

The EPIC Marathon and Running Festival is gearing up for its second year, stepping off on May 17 in Ashwaubenon, and it's already shaping up to be a must-do event for runners across the Midwest. This race fills a big gap in the Green Bay running scene after the Cellcom Green Bay Marathon wrapped up in 2024, offering a fresh new challenge for seasoned marathoners and casual joggers alike. Best of all, it's a Boston Marathon qualifier, so if you've got your sights set on Hopkinton, this is your chance to earn that coveted spot.

All events start and finish outside the EPIC Event Center at 2351 Holmgren Way, with a course that takes runners west and north through Ashwaubenon, over the Mason Street Bridge into Allouez, and along the scenic Fox River Trail before crossing back to the finish line. Along the way, you'll pass iconic landmarks like Lambeau Field and Capital Credit Union Park, all while enjoying live music that keeps the energy high. And when you cross that finish line? Get ready for a post-race party with complimentary beer, food, free digital photos, and live entertainment—your reward for all those miles.

Registration is still open, and it includes a T-shirt, on-site parking, and all the perks above. Here's the pricing breakdown: the full marathon is $135 (jumps to $150 after May 14), the half marathon is $120 (goes to $125 after May 14), the half marathon relay is $175 (rises to $200 after May 14), and the Kid's Dash for ages 12 and under is just $20 ($25 after May 14). Packet pickup runs at the EPIC Event Center on May 16 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on May 17 from 5:30 to 7:15 a.m. (note: day-of pickup costs an extra $30). Parking is first-come, first-served in the EPIC lot via Willard Drive or Holmgren Way, with overflow on nearby public lots and streets. Just keep in mind that Cormier Road between Holmgren Way and Collaer Court is closed to all traffic on race day.

Spectator-friendly spots include The Bar at 2001 Holmgren Way (see full and half marathoners twice, or 5K runners once), Richard Craniums at 840 S. Broadway (full marathoners pass by twice), and Beaumont Park at 1600 Sue Lane (half and full marathoners both come through). Whether you're lacing up for your first marathon or chasing a PR, the EPIC Marathon and Running Festival promises an unforgettable day of community, competition, and celebration. See you at the start line!
