The Tennessee Titans had the opportunity to select wide receiver Stefon Diggs in the fifth round of the 2015 NFL draft.

Instead, the Titans drafted running back David Cobb with the No. 138 overall pick. Cobb played all four years of college football for the Minnesota Golden Gophers from 2011 to 2014. He rushed for 1,000 yards in each of his final two seasons with Minnesota, recording 1,202 yards in 2013 and 1,626 yards in 2014.

However, his NFL career lasted just one season. In 2015, he appeared in seven games for the Titans and rushed for 146 yards.

Tennessee had the chance to draft differently that year. Stefon Diggs, an All-Pro performer who recorded 1,000 receiving yards in the NFL as recently as 2025, was among the best players still available on the board.

The superlatives for Stefon Diggs are extensive. The Maryland product has recorded 1,000 receiving yards seven times in his career, including 1,013 yards with the New England Patriots in 2025. He earned first-team All-Pro honors in 2020 as a member of the Buffalo Bills and added second-team All-Pro recognition in 2022, also with the Bills. Diggs also led the NFL in receptions (127) and receiving yards (1,535) in 2020.

Quandre Diggs won a Super Bowl with the Seattle Seahawks in 2025. He has recorded three or more interceptions in a season six times during his career. The Texas native ranks seventh among all active players in career interceptions with 24.

Waller has eclipsed 1,000 receiving yards twice in his career. Although his injury history has been significant, he was among the best options remaining for the Titans to consider with the No. 138 overall pick.
