LAWRENCE — As of Sunday morning, Kansas basketball’s lone public commitment through the transfer portal continues to be Utah transfer forward Keanu Dawes.
Dawes is a valuable addition, and one who brings experience, size and physicality to the Jayhawks’ front court. When Utah tested KU inside Allen Fieldhouse this past season, before Kansas emerged with a win, the junior finished with a double-double of 22 points and 12 rebounds. As coach Bill Self builds his roster for the 2026-27 season, Dawes’ arrival should mean a lot.

However, KU’s recruiting hasn’t and won’t end with Dawes’ commitment alone. The Jayhawks have more roster spots to fill, as they look to assemble a group that can compete for Big 12 Conference and national success. And moving forward, multiple reports detail there are two more athletes set to be visitors in the near future.
Vyctorius Miller is coming off of his sophomore year with Oklahoma State, and also previously played at LSU. Miller, a 6-foot-5 and 190-pound guard, started 26 of his 32 appearances for the Cowboys and averaged 25.6 minutes per game. He averaged 10.8 points and 2.7 rebounds per game, while shooting 41.8% from the field, 37.5% from behind the arc and 85.7% from the free-throw line.
There’s experience Miller can bring, as someone who’s played at multiple high-major programs. He’s also a former 247Sports four-star prospect coming out of high school. In 247Sports’ transfer rankings, he is also a four-star prospect.
Christian Reeves is coming off of his redshirt junior year with Charleston, and has previously played at both Clemson and Duke. A 7-foot-2 and 255-pound center, he started 18 of his 31 appearances for Charleston and averaged 21.4 minutes per game. He averaged 11.1 points and 7.8 rebounds per game, while shooting 65.4% from the field and 60.4% from the free-throw line.
Reeves doesn’t provide an addition to the front court who can step out and hit 3s, given he didn’t attempt any this past season, but there’s size there, of course. He was a three-star prospect coming out of high school. He’s now a four-star prospect in the portal.
