Hannover 96 missed a golden opportunity to climb into the top two of the 2. Bundesliga after being held to a 1-1 draw by VfL Bochum on Friday night. Following last week's frustrating result against Münster, Christian Titz's side needed a strong response—but once again fell short when it mattered most.

The match started with Bochum looking the sharper of the two sides. While Hannover controlled possession, the hosts repeatedly carved open space on the counter-attack, keeping the visitors' defense on high alert. Despite the early pressure, clear-cut chances were hard to come by in the first half.
