In a move that could shake up the New England prep school football landscape, one of Massachusetts' top running backs is taking his talents to a new field for the 2026 season. Jordan Toribio, a dynamic tailback who rushed for over 1,400 yards and 18 touchdowns last year, announced on X (formerly Twitter) that he is transferring from St. John's Preparatory School in Danvers to Milton Academy—and reclassifying to the class of 2028.

Toribio's announcement marks a significant shift for the star player, who helped lead St. John's Prep to the MIAA Division I Super Bowl state championship game in 2025. Over 158 carries, he racked up impressive numbers that made him one of the most sought-after backs in the Bay State. "Thank you to everyone at St. John's Prep for the last 2 years and the opportunities you gave me," Toribio wrote. "With that being said I am excited to announce that I will be attending Milton Academy next year."

Now, Toribio is heading to the ultra-competitive NEPSAC league, where Milton Academy finished the 2025 season with a strong 7-2 record and ranked No. 28 in the final Massachusetts High School Football Massey Rankings. The Mustangs' only two losses came against Buckingham Browne & Nichols and Tabor Academy, setting the stage for Toribio to make an immediate impact as they aim for even greater heights.

For Massachusetts high school football fans, keeping up with scores and standout performances across the state is easier than ever with the Rivals High School Scoreboard. From Friday night lights to championship clashes, this real-time resource ensures you never miss a moment of the action—and with Toribio's move to Milton Academy, the 2026 season just got a whole lot more interesting.
